Prominent Orlando Pirates star, Thembinkosi Lorch made his second appearance at the Midrand Magistrates Court on Thursday on a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Lorch was arrested last month for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend after the victim reported the incident to the police.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said the matter had been postponed.
“We can confirm as the NPA that the case against Orlando Pirates player Thembinkosi Lorch was postponed to the 27th of October 2020 by the Midrand Magistrates Court and it’s for purposes of disclosing the contents of the docket to his legal representative,” said the NPA’s Phindi Mjonondwane.
He is out on R2000 bail.
