The matter was briefly heard in the Pretoria commercial crimes court this morning after it was postponed earlier this week for further investigation.

Tshifiwa Reuben Rudzhadzi was arrested on Friday after allegedly phoning Pistorius, claiming he was with the NPA and could scrap the case against him.

Rudzhadzi allegedly told Pistorius that he was part of a team - of which state advocate Gerrie Nel was also a member - and they could make Pistorius's murder case disappear for a quarter of a million rand.

Pistorius informed the authorities, and the Hawks set up a trap for Rudzhadzi on Friday.

R40,000 was handed over and he was arrested immediately afterwards.

The 33-year-old has been accused of corruption and impersonating an NPA official, as well as a possible charge of extortion.

The state and defence once again asked for a postponement, this time to 4 April when a formal bail application will be made.

The state also pointed out that Rudzhadzi has been found guilty on two other matters, and there is a possible third matter where there might be a warrant of arrest for him. All of this could influence his bail application next month.
