Palesa Madiba murder case postponed
Updated | By Lindiwe Mpanza
Dumisani Mkhwanazi (36) is expected back in court on Wednesday in connection with the murder of University of Johannesburg student Palesa Madiba.
Madiba’s remains were only found two years after her death.
Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Gauteng Phindi Mjonondwane says Mkhwanazi appeared in the Protea Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The case was postponed to Wednesday to allow Mkhwanazi to secure legal representation.
Madiba went missing in 2013 after she visited a friend's house in Phiri, Soweto, and never returned to her home in Diepkloof.
Police later discovered her remains in a shallow grave in 2015.
