Penny Sparrow case postponed to September
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The case against retired Scottburgh estate agent Penny Sparrow has been postponed to next month.

Sparrow is accused of crimen injuria for referring to black beach-goers as "monkeys" in a Facebook post earlier this year.
During a brief appearance at the Scottburgh Magistrates Court this morning, Magistrate Vincent Hlatswayo postponed the matter to allow for consultation between the accused and her new lawyer - Legal Aid representative Elaine MacDonald.
The defense also requested for the State to provide further particulars to them, before the next appearance.

The matter has been adjourned to September 19.
