Poacher believed to be killed by lions
Updated | By Gerda de Sousa
Limpopo police are investigating the possibility that a poacher was killed by lions on a private game reserve in Hoedspruit.

Police were called out to the private game reserve on Saturday after it was originally thought the lions mauled an employee who got stuck whilst driving a tractor.
However, Limpopo police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says the worker was found alive.
"The process of identifying the deceased has already commenced and it might be made possible by the fact that his head is among the remains that were found at the scene."
The investigation is now pointing into the direction of a suspected poacher as the victim, after a hunting rifle was found in the vicinity.
Ngoepe has called on anyone who can assist with identifying the deceased, to go to the Hoedspruit Police station.
