Police arrest men in possession of explosives at Beitbridge

The South African Police Service (SAPS) arrested two men at the Beitbridge border post in Musina on Friday for allegedly being in possession of explosives.
Police say the two men, aged 25 and 30, were found in possession of explosives that comprised of connector cap fuses and cables.
Police spokesperson, Moatshe Ngoepe says the suspects were arrested during a routine search on Friday morning.
Police noticed what they describe as 2 suspicious men carrying big bags.
The men were stopped, searched and found in possession of the connector cap fuses and 900 units of cables to the estimated value of R250 000.
Ngoepe says the destination of the explosives will be determined once police investigations are done.
"Further police investigations revealed that one of the suspects has also contravened the Illegal immigration Act for being in the country illegally," he said.
The suspects will appear at the Musina Magistrates court soon.
