Police seize dagga worth R1 million in Ekurhuleni

Gauteng police have arrested a 38-year-old man in possession of dagga worth R1 million.
Police spokesperson Mavela Masondo says the dagga was destined for Cape Town.
The suspect was arrested at a house in Clayville that allegedly sells dagga to community members.
“On arrival, police found dagga loaded in a bakkie and some kept at the back of the house. A preliminary investigation revealed that the dagga was to be transported to Cape Town. The suspect that was found in the premises was arrested and charged with dealing in dagga.”
The 38-year-old suspect is expected to appear in Tembisa Magistrates Court soon.
