Police task team to probe former Reiger Park principal

Numerous calls have been made to institute criminal charges against the former principal at a high school in Boksburg.
Police have set up a task team to investigate the former principal.
Explicit images and videos of the principal with some of his learners recently surfaced online.
Police spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini says they are investigating allegations of sexual abuse.
"Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the appointment of a task team of detectives."
He says police are aware the visuals might have been taken some time ago, and they are trying confirm the source of the footage.

Reiger Park residents, who gathered outside the school on Monday, demanded drastic steps by the department to ensure learners' safety.
They called for security cameras and stricter qualifications for staff.
The man has also been reported to the South African Council of Educators (SACE) and could be struck off the roll of educators.
