Popcru to march to Union Buildings
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union (Popcru) members are set to bring the Pretoria CBD to a standstill on Friday.

Popcru members will march from Marabastad to the Union Buildingsm where they are expected to hand over a memorandum of demands to Ministers Bheki Cele, Blade Nzimande, Michael Masutha and Aaron Motsoaledi respectively.
Popcru's Richard Mamabolo says one of their main grievances is the spate of police killings.
He says since 2015 nothing has been done to address the killing of police officers by criminals.
The union is also demanding that the current restructuring of the police service be halted, as it believes it will lead to ineffectiveness.
"Within communities, you have dilapidated police stations, shortage of staff, shortage of resources while at the provincial and national level huge budget of the SAPS goes there," says Mamabolo.
