Port Alfred woman mauled to death by dogs

A 37-year-old woman from Port Alfred in the Eastern Cape was mauled to death by dogs while on her way to work on Sunday morning.
she was identified as 37-year-old Zimkhitha Gaga.
Police spokesperson Priscilla Naidu says the woman was reportedly walking on Alfred Road when she was attacked.
She says two men who witnessed the attack ran to a nearby security office to report the incident.
Naidu says when police arrived on the scene the badly injured woman was lying on the side of the road.
The woman had sustained severe injuries to her face and upper body and the dogs were nowhere to be found.
Local police detectives are searching for the owner of the dogs.
The number and breed of the dogs are unknown at this stage and police believe that the two men who witnessed the incident can provide crucial information in the investigation.
In April, a 38-year-old man was killed when he was attacked by two rottweilers on his way to work.
Khayalethu Bulo died a violent death, and his family has since launched a civil claim.
