Updated | By Lesetja Makhura
President Cyril Ramaphosa joined hundreds of thousands of St. Engenas Zion Christian Church members' Easter pilgrimage on Sunday.
Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa and Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation David Mahlobo accompanied the president in Limpopo.
ZCC members will gather at the Moria headquarters outside Polokwane for the Easter Sunday sermon.
The gathering is taking place for the first time in three years, after it was paused due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Both the ZCC and St. Engenas churches closed their headquarters and branches across the country to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.
The star symbolized ZCC headquarters remains closed.
The churches are led by brothers, Joseph and Edward Lekganyane.
Before the Covid-19 outbreak, both ZCC churches drew millions of worshippers during the Easter holy week to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in Moria.
