Ramokgopa appointed acting Sports Minister

President Cyril Ramaphosa, has appointed the Minister in the presidency Maropene Ramokgopa, as the acting Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture.
This follows the resignation of Minister Zizi Kodwa who was charged with corruption this week.
He is accused of influencing the awarding of government contracts during his time as ANC spokesperson between April 2015 and February 2016.
Presidency spokesperson Vincent Magwenya Ramokgopa will oversee the role, until a permanent appointment is made under the new 7th administration.
Ramokgopa is currently the Minister in the Presidency responsible for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation.
