[READ] Jesse Clegg’s heartfelt message to his dad

Jesse Clegg, son of late music icon Johnny Clegg, says he struggles to imagine a life without his father.

The legendary artist died at the age of 66 on Tuesday following a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer.
Jesse posted a message on Twitter captioned: "Hamba kahle dad. Love you always."

Since the announcement of his death on Tuesday evening condolences poured in from all over South Africa.
South African Music Awards (Samas) chairperson Thobela Dlamini says Clegg always wanted to truly experience the performance with his audience.

"When you had a gig and Johnny was on the line-up he wouldn't just to come on stage, there were rituals before going on stage.
"He always had that thing before he performs there must be a relationship between him and the audience and he needs to feel that particular relationship."
Dlamini says Clegg always travelled with his ancestors.
