Robert Mugabe 'granted immunity'

Ousted Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe has reportedly
been granted immunity from prosecution.
Mugabe resigned as the president of Zimbabwe on Tuesday.
Jacaranda FM News' Zimbabwean correspondent, Zenzele Ndebele, says immunity was granted as part of the deal which led to Mugabe's resignation.
According to a Reuters report, a government source says that Mugabe told negotiators that he wanted to die in Zimbabwe and that he had no intentions to live in exile.
Mugabe was ousted as leader of the ruling party, Zanu-PF, at the weekend.
The 97-year-old had been in power for 37 years.
Zimbabweans spilled onto the streets in celebration when news broke that Mugabe had resigned on Tuesday.
