Police are investigating a case of a stolen vehicle following a high speed chase in Johannesburg.
The suspect who drove off with the white and silver blue Rolls Royce abodoned the ultra luxurious vehicle in Riverlea.
The car was allegedly stolen from a workshop at The Glen, south of Johannesburg, earlier on Wednesday.
The owner of the workshop spotted the car worth over R5 million while driving on the N12 highway and followed it. He later alerted Johannesburg Metro Police Department officers on patrol and they also gave chase.
JMPD spokesperson Edna Mamonyane says no arrests have been made.
"After abandoning the car in Riverlea, the suspect fled on foot," she says.
