The ten suspects arrested in the Rosettenville deadly shooting on Monday are expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court on Monday.
They were part of a group of 25 suspects who were intercepted by the cash-in-transit task team planning to to commit a CIT robbery.
Hawks spokesperson Thandi Mbambo says they have been charged with the murder of the eight suspects killed.
"The suspects are held accountable for the 8 murders because if they had not opened fire on the police no one would have died.
"They are facing charges of murder x 8, attempted murder, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, possession of explosives and possession of hijacked vehicles. Eight suspects were fatally shot. All SAPS members and a JMPD member who were shot and injured during the ordeal are recovering well," said Mbambo.
