SA Covid-19 cases reach grim 1.5 million milestone

As of Friday, South Africa had recorded 1 500 677 Covid-19 cases, an increase of 1 911 cases since Thursday.
Gauteng has the highest number of cases at 26%, followed by the Western Cape at 18%.
This comes as the first batch of Johnson & Johnson vaccines is being rolled out to healthcare workers across the country.

Deaths related to Covid-19 complications have now reached 48 859, an increase of 151 cases since Thursday.
According to the National Department of health, the recovery rate is now 93%
