SA daily Covid-19 cases keep rising, near 11 000

The number of new Covid-19 infections in South Africa shows no respite with Health Minister Zweli Mkhize reporting another 10 939 new cases.
Mkhize released the latest stats on Saturday evening.
The cumulative number of cases in South Africa is now 912 477.
The Department of Health 254 people died due to the virus since the last report, with 85 fatalities in the Eastern Cape, 12 in the Free State, 18 in Gauteng and 61 Kwa-Zulu Natal.
This brings the total deaths to 24 539.
The Western Cape has the most number of active cases, followed by KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape and Gauteng.
The total number of people who have succumbed to Covid-19 in South Africa now stands at 24,539.
