SA records R7.71bn trade deficit

The South Africa economy registered a trade deficit of R7.71 billion in June, the SA Revenue Service said on Wednesday.
The South Africa economy registered a trade deficit of R7.71 billion in June, the SA Revenue Service said on Wednesday.
The deficit was attributed to exports of R68.21bn and imports of R75.92bn.
Between May and June exports increased by R2.24bn (3.4 percent), and imports decreased by R1.58bn (two percent).
The cumulative deficit for 2013 was R75.94bn, compared to R51.58bn in 2012.
