Big Business has been engaged in ongoing discussions with Eskom over the impact of load shedding.

The embattled power utility has, however, repeatedly said that it will take time for Eskom to find it's feet.

Eskom COO, Jan Oberholzer said earlier in December: "Our system is still unpredictable and unreliable, and we are going to need time to fix it. We find ourselves where we are, and we cannot wish it away."

He believes Eskom made the right decision to move to Stage 6 load shedding when it did, although they regret the impact it had on all South Africans.

"What is critical is to never compromise the integrity of the electrical system," said Oberholzer at the time.
