SABC announces departure of head of legal services

South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has announced the resignation of its head of legal services, Advocate Ntuthezelo Vanara.

The public broadcaster confirmed his resignation in a statement on Friday.
Vanara was appointed as the corporation's head of legal services in 2018 and as the Group Executive for Legal, Governance and Regulatory in April 2021.
"Advocate Vanara is a serial achiever, results-driven, team player, an inspirational and ethical leader with a demonstrable track record of getting the best results from his teams and colleagues,” said the SABC’s acting Group Executive Mmoni Seapolelo.
"He played a significant role in the turn-around process at the SABC, a responsibility he discharged with excellence and distinction."
Vanara will leave the SABC at the end of July.
