SABC inquiry committee to resume
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Parliament's ad hoc committee looking into the fitness of the SABC board will resume its work today to finalise their report and recommendations.
"The intention is to work through whatever responses, if any, have been received," says committee chairperson Vincent Smith.
Their preliminary report included the committee's reaction to testimony by former SABC board chairpersons, as well as Communication Minister Faith Muthambi.
"If there have been responses, we will start processing them - bearing in mind that the deadline for responses is only on 16 January 2017," says Smith.
According to information leaked to the media, the committee has made several recommendations - one of which is questioning the permanent appointment of controversial former COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng.
