Scopa to visit Medupi and Kusile power stations
Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
The Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa) kicks off oversight visits at Eskom's unfinished coal power stations on Tuesday.

The inspections at the Medupi in Limpopo and Kusile in Mpumalanga will stretch over two days.
Scopa chairperson Mkhuleko Hlengwa says the committee is concerned about Eskom's financial health.
"The committee is concerned with the state and health of Eskom, particularly the case where the power stations should have been completed."
He adds that the delay in completing the power stations will impact the fiscus.

"We therefore are interested as a committee to unearth and look at all the issues surrounding these power stations."
The committee will meet the Eskom board and executives on Thursday to discuss its findings.
