Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Police in Mpumalanga have launched a manhunt for two suspects who allegedly raped a pregnant woman.
The woman was hitch-hiking to a local clinic with her five-year-old daughter at the time of the incident.
Provincial police spokesperson, Leonard Hlathi, says she was picked up by two men driving in a Toyota Tazz.
"Whilst they were traveling towards the clinic they diverted towards the bushes. She was then pointed with a firearm and also held at knife point."

It's alleged that the man raped the woman in full view of her daughter.
"Whilst in the process, the woman managed to bite severely the private part of this man. We don't know where these men are, they have run away."
Police are now appealing to health care practitioners to help track down the men.
"Should there be any person approaching them seeking help on his private part they must immediately contact the police."
A case of rape was opened.
