Sebenza substation trip causes power outage in parts of Joburg
City Power is currently experiencing a power outage at Sebenza substation due to a tripped device.
City Power spokesperson Isaac Mangena says the outage happened at approximately 10h50 on Friday morning.
Affected areas include Lombardy East, Alexandra, Houghton, Bramley Park, and Rosebank, among others.

Mangena says technicians are working on repairing the fault.
He says when electricity will return is unknown at the moment, but further information will be communicated.
