September to focus on police safety

Deputy President David Mabuza announced that the month of September has been declared National Police Safety Month.
Mabuza made the announcement at the South African Police Service Commemoration Day at the Union Buildings on Sunday.
The deputy president said the month will serve to raise awareness for the need of partnership between police and the public.

He urged community members to spread the message of police safety.
"During this month we should communicate and spread far and wide the message for police safety.
"We must all join the cause by the Minister of police to all work together to squeeze the soace for criminals to zero."
