Protest in Pretoria Gardens suspended
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Protests in Pretoria Gardens in Gomora have been halted.
Protest leaders engaged with the police on Wednesday morning.
They demanded one of the local ANC councillors address them.
Violence first broke out in Tshwane on Sunday.
Protests flared up on Monday night following the announcement of Thoko Didiza as the ANC's Tshwane mayoral candidate.
Residents are demanding Kgosientso "Sputla" Ramokgopa be named as the ANC's Tshwane mayoral candidate for the local government election on 3 August.
Slindelo Masikane is there.
