Sixteen Injured in KZN taxi crash

A crash involving a taxi and a car near Empangeni in northern KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday afternoon left 16 people injured, six of them critically, paramedics said.
The crash occurred on the B10 in the direction of eSikhaleni, KwaZulu-Natal emergency medical services (EMS) spokesman Robert Mckenzie said in a statement.
“A minibus overturned, after which a car crashed into the minibus. Six patients were critically injured, five seriously, and five more sustained minor injuries,” he said.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for further treatment. Police were investigating the cause of the accident.
