‘Snacks vehicle’ suspects to remain behind bars
Four suspects, who wrapped an alleged stolen vehicle with snacks, have been denied bail.
The four appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate Court in Limpopo on Thursday.
The suspects were apprehended on Wednesday morning on the N1 in Westenburg.
The police were doing a stop and search on the road, after receiving information about a stolen vehicle being transported along the N1.
The police stopped a Toyota Hilux towing a trailer, after unpacking the snacks and removing the foil, a grey Ford Ranger was found loaded on the trailer.
Limpopo police spokesperson, Maphure Manamela, says the case against the suspects has been postponed to 28 August for further investigation.
