Snowfall, flooding and thunderstorms in store this week

The South African Weather Service has issued several warnings for severe thunderstorms and rainfall which could lead to widespread flooding in parts of the country.
Temperatures have plummeted after snowfall was reported in Lesotho and Drakensberg over the course of the long weekend.

Forecaster Edward Engelbrecht says several provinces will experience heavy rainfall and cooler temperatures throughout the week.
"Watch out for severe thunderstorms with heavy downfalls leading to widespread flooding that is expected in the eastern and central parts of the North West and Free State.'
"Watch out for heavy rainfalls leading to localised flooding expected along the Wild Coast and adjacent interior of the Eastern Cape."
