Soccer star to appear in court after fatal crash
Updated | By Lebohang Ndashe
Sekhukhune United soccer star Shaun Mogaila is expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrates’ Court on the Gauteng East Rand today.

Mogaila is facing culpable homicide charges.
He handed himself over at the Rabbie Ridge Police Station on Wednesday afternoon, hours after a vehicle he is alleged to have driven, crashed into another car.
According to the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD), Mogaila’s black BMW collided with a Hyundai i10 driven by a woman and two primary school children in the car.
The incident claimed the life of the female driver's nine-year-old daughter, while the mother and a 13-year-old neighbour remain in a critical condition in hospital.
EMPD said officers found alcohol, dagga and a powder believed to contain drugs, in the soccer player’s car.
Sekhukhune United has not yet commented.
