South Africans share #SuperMoon photos
Updated | By MornéJK
South Africans took to social media to share photos of the supermoon.

According to NASA, a supermoon is an optical illusion caused by the moon being so close to the horizon that it can be measured against familiar objects such as trees and houses.
This year sees the most spectacular supermoon since 1948 with the moon appearing 30 percent brighter than usual.
"The event was undeniably beautiful," space agency NASA said on its website.
