Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
A storm wreaked havoc in Cape Town on Friday.
At least 100 homes have been flooded, the city's disaster risk unit says.
Heavy rainfall, gale force wind and rough seas were experienced across the Cape Peninsula on Friday afternoon.
The disaster risk unit's Charlotte Powell says: "We will remain on high alert and we'll be prepared to deal with any major incidents."
Weather forecaster Kate Turner says the worst is over.
"The intense cold front has passed and is moving towards the Boland. In Cape Town, the wind has started to die down and the downpour is not as heavy as earlier."
