Suspect nabbed for killing mother, daughter in NW

A 45-year-old suspect has been arrested for the murder of a mother and daughter in Lesetlhaneng Section in North West.
The two were killed in January and their bodies found at home by the woman’s other daughter.

North West police spokesperson Adele Myburgh says the house was robbed of valuables worth R25 000.
“Police were summoned to the scene which they combed and discovered in a bath, the body of a 34-year-old woman, who is the 68-year-old victim’s daughter with feet and hands tied up.
“Further crime scene investigation revealed that items such as a plasma television, DVD Player and the victims’ cell phones all worth an estimated R25 000 were missing.”
The suspect is expected to appear at Ga-Rankuwa Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
