Thami Tsolekile in court for alleged assault of 14 year-old
Updated | By Suné du Toit
Former Proteas cricketer Thami Tsolekile appeared briefly in the Goodwood Magistrates Court in Cape Town on Tuesday on a charge of assault.
A 14 year-old high school learner laid a charge of assault against Tsolekile last week.
According to reports, the learner claims Tsolekile pulled him into his car and assaulted him outside his school in Pinelands.
Tsolekile denies this, saying he drove the boy to school to report him for throwing stones at his car.
The case was postponed to 10 October and Tsolekile was released on a warning.
Tsolekile previously made headlines for match-fixing.
He was banned from all forms of cricket for 12 years after being found guilty of match-fixing in the 2015 Ram Slam T20.
