Police in North West are investigating a case of murder after the bodies of three children were found in a scrapyard in Botsalano village.
The bodies of the three children, between the ages of four and six, were in one of the old cars in the yard on Wednesday.
Provincial police spokesperson Sabata Mokgwabone says their grandmother left them in the yard to attend a funeral.
“According to reports, the grandmother left the children in the yard at approximately 10:00 in the morning to attend a funeral service in the same village.
“She returned home at about 15:30 and found the minors' lifeless bodies inside an old and unused vehicle that was parked in the yard. Of the three children, two of them, that is Thabo and Thoriso Mohibidu, are a brother and sister while the six-year-old, Bokao Sheleng, is a neighbours' child and a friend to Thabo and Thoriso.”
