Tsogo Sun employees facing 259 charges of fraud

Two Tsogo Sun employees have been arrested for allegedly defrauding the company of R4 million.

The employees apparently deposited salaries into the bank accounts of fictional employees which they claimed worked for the company.
It was later discovered by Tsogo Sun that the bank accounts of the supposed employees belonged to the accused.

Police spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo says the two are both out on bail and will appear in court in September to face 259 counts of fraud.
“The two allegedly created the ghost workers whilst they were working at the hotel and deposited the salaries into certain accounts amounting to R4million”

The accused are out on bail of R10 000 each.
