Two burnt to death in mob justice attack

Police in Mpumalanga have confirmed that two men have been burnt to death in a mob justice attack in White River.
On Wednesday, a manhunt was launched following the discovery of two bodies in a trench in Mganduzweni, outside the town.
The bodies were identified as two girls aged between six and seven.
It's understood that the bodies were discovered by a member of the community.

Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Brigadier Leonard Hlathi, said they received reports in the early hours of Thursday morning of the mob justice incident.
Hlathi has appealed to the community to refrain from taking the law into their own hands.
"We received reports early hours of the morning that there were two men who were burnt to death and such allegations were confirmed.
"We find ourselves now having to investigate other cases of murder after we have spoken to the community and this is a call that we make to all the member of the public to refrain from taking the law into their own hands," Hlathi said.
