Mpumalanga police are investigating the circumstances that led to the drowning of two fishermen in Tonga.

On Tuesday a 22-year-old man drowned after saving the life of a 10-year-old boy who had went to the Mzinti river to swim.
Police spokesperson Selvy Mohlala says the man managed to rescue the boy before he drowned.
"We were summoned to the scene and through the assistance of the police divers, his lifeless body was retrieved on Wednesday."
In a separate incident a 28-year-old man drowned on Monday while fishing in the Nkomazi river.
His body was recovered by the police on Wednesday.
Mohlala cautioned the public against fishing in flooded rivers following heavy rains last month.
