Two killed, 17 injured in KZN accident

A man and woman travelling in the vehicle were confirmed dead at the scene, said Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann.

 

The jaws of life had to be used to free a seriously injured man trapped inside the vehicle.

 

"Paramedics and other services had to climb down the embankment to make their way to the vehicle where they found that a man was entrapped in the vehicle," said Steinmann.

 

Sixteen other people sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious.

 

They were all treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical treatment.
