Two boys, aged 9 and 14, drowned in a river while fishing in the Ngwaritsi River in Ga-Masemola, Limpopo.

According to reports, the 9-year-old boy drowned after trying to rescue the 14-year-old.
Police say a third boy, also aged 14, was prevented from entering the river by a woman who was bathing in the river.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says the two bodies were retrieved by community members.
"The circumstances surrounding the drowning incident are being investigated, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death," says Ledwaba.
"The provincial commissioner of Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, urges parents and guardians to exercise extra care for their children's safety to avoid these unexpected events.
"Parents and guardians are advised not to leave their children swimming unsupervised.”
