Vodacom: Data disappearance almost solved
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Cellular giant Vodacom has assured customers that it is working around the clock to solve the issue of disappearing data and airtime.
Hundreds of Vodacom customers took to social media in frustration about their data vanishing without a trace on Monday night.
Vodacom's spokesperson Bryon Kennedy says the vast majority of affected customers have since been refunded.
"95% of our customers' whose data or airtime were affected, have been reinstated or refunded. Our main priority and emphasis is making sure we remedy the situation with our customers.
"The issue has been isolated. This is a high priority for us. The investigations into what led to the system error will continue in due course," says Kennedy.

Kennedy says the company would once again like to apologise to affected costumers.
"We will make sure that we have a long and hard look at what happened here. We will certainly put processes in place to make sure we do our level best to ensure something like this does not happen again."
