Warning of severe thunderstorms in Gauteng
The
South African Weather Service has issued a warning for severe thunderstorms
across Gauteng on Sunday, with the possibility of large hail, heavy rain and
strong winds.
SAWS forecaster Victoria Nurs says the thunderstorms are expected to continue into early hours of Monday morning.
Nurs says there were also reports of severe weather conditions over the southern parts of Gauteng and extreme northern parts of the Free State on Saturday evening.
The weather service has issued a watch across Gauteng and is urging the public to take care.
Limpopo and Mpumalanga can also expect some thunderstorms this week.
