Warning of severe thunderstorms over parts of SA

The South African Weather Service has warned of possible severe thunderstorms over Gauteng, the highveld of Mpumalanga, Limpopo and the eastern parts of the North West during the first half of the week.
Isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers can be expected over the eastern parts of the country.
Forecaster Ishmael Moyo says the showers and thundershowers are expected to continue into Tuesday.
"The thunderstorms are expected mainly over the eastern parts of the country with some warning drizzle along the escarpment of Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces.
"On Wednesday, most of the activities shift with isolated showers over the northern parts of the country, there is also a chance for some light rain along the KZN coastal areas, extending into the escarpment of Mpumalanga.
"On Thursday, we have isolated to scattered showers in most parts of the country, except the extreme western parts and south eastern parts as well as extreme eastern parts.
"Going into Friday, the 1st of March , we expect isolated showers and thundershowers mainly over the central parts of the country".
