WATCH: IPID investigating police brutality in Pretoria West
The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) will investigate allegations of police brutality of a woman, allegedly by two officers in Pretoria West.
In a video, the woman can be seen being pulled by her hair and forced into the police van by two female officers.
IPID spokesperson Moses Dlamini says their findings and recommendations will only be made after the conclusion of the investigation.
"It is important for the police to uphold the human rights of the communities they are operating in," says Dlamini.
He adds police should not use unnecessary force where it is not warranted.
