WATCH LIVE: Ramaphosa to update on Covid-19
President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation on Thursday evening amid speculation that the government will ease the lockdown restrictions.
The country is officially out of the third wave - and could move down to level 1.
Under lockdown level one, the number of people allowed to gather will be increased.
This is considered important as the country heads into the November 1 local polls.
The curfew is also expected to be extended while bottle stores could open their doors every day of the week.
