Water interruptions in Joburg
Joburg residents will experience sporadic water interruptions in parts of the city due to a lack of water supply.
There will be an unplanned interruption in water supply in parts of Northriding, Kya Sands, Northlands Business and Deco Park, Bloubosrand, Johannesburg North, Parts of Craigavon, Maroeladal, Cedar Lakes, Cedar Creek, Broadacres, Cedar Avenue West, Needwood, Chartwell, Farmall, Steyn City from 14:00 this afternoon.
"Water is currently running low due to consumption exceeding supply and we advise residents to reduce consumption to avoid serious water shortages," the city said in a statement.

- Tanks will be filled at Cedar Lakes and the BP garage Broadacres Shopping centre
- Northlands Business and Deco Park
- Crèche in Agulhas road
- Hyperion road (Hampstead gardens)
- Cedar Creek
- Precision Street
- Thorn tree complex in Cedar Ave West
- Talavera complex
- Runnymead and 3rd rd, Chartwell
There will be a planned interruption in Eldoradopark ext 9 and Proper and the city has reminded residents that level-2 water restrictions are still in place and must be adhered to.
"We urge consumers to remain active partners in reducing the amount of water used in the City of Johannesburg, and to report any form of vandalism and theft of water infrastructure to 0800 00 25 87."
