WEATHER: Extremely hot and humid

A heatwave with persistently high temperatures is expected over parts of the Northern Cape, Free State, North-West Province, Gauteng and Limpopo.
Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions over the Lowveld, Limpopo Valley and Western Bushveld of Limpopo. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in the Northern Cape, parts of Gauteng as well as in Mpumalanga.
Gauteng: Partly cloudy and hot.

Mpumalanga: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers except in the Lowveld where it will be very hot to extremely hot. Evening drizzle and fog patches are expected over the escarpment.

Limpopo: Fine and very hot to extremely hot in the west, otherwise partly cloudy and hot with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers except in the north east.

North West: Fine and very hot, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

Free State: Fine and hot to very hot in the west, becoming partly cloudy in the north east.

Northern Cape: Cool along the coast with morning fog pacthes, otherwise fine and warm but hot to very hot in places in the interior and eastern parts. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-westerly.
Kimberley: 18 / 38
Western Cape: Partly cloudy and cool along the south coast, otherwise fine and warm but hot in places over the western interior. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly but moderate along the south coast.

Eastern Cape: Cloudy and cool with light rain and showers but partly cloudy and warm in the north west. The wind along the coast will be light north easterly becoming moderate southerly to south-westerly from the south.
Port Elizabeth: 13 / 23
KwaZulu-Natal: Cloudy and warm but fine and warm to hot in the north-west, becoming partly cloudy. Scattered showers and thundershowers are expected in the east, otherwise isolated. Morning fog patches are expected over the escarpment.
