WEATHER: Heavy rain and wind as Dineo hits

Heavy rain is expected over Ehlanzeni District of Mpumalanga and Vhembe and Mopani Districts of Limpopo from Thursday evening, persisting into Friday.

A severe tropical storm, Dineo, with gale force winds and heavy rain is expected over southern Mozambique on Thursday moving north-westwards affecting the Lowveld of Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces on Thursday. Heavy rain that will lead to localized flooding on Thursday night Until Saturday.


Gauteng: Morning fog patches and mist in places on high grounds,otherwise partly cloudy and warm.

Mpumalanga: Cool over the eastern High ground, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but cloudy in the east. Isolated showers and rain are expected except in the extreme west but scattered to widespread in the east and north-east.
