Week ahead: Stage 2 load shedding in place
Updated | By Princess Mahogo
Eskom has announced that stage 2 load shedding will be implemented from 4 pm on Sunday until further notice.
The embattled power utility attributed the increase in load-shedding stages to planned maintenance and the expected increase in electricity demand.
“A total of 765MW of generation capacity is expected to return to service later tonight (Sunday), and the evening peak demand forecast for Sunday is 24 383MW. Eskom will communicate should any significant changes occur,” said spokesperson Daphne Mokoena.
